Updated: Mar 30
I love baking sweets during Holiday season and this little sweet & tart treat is a perfect explosion of flavors. Super easy, minimal bake time too.
if you have toddlers this is a quick and simple recipe they can help with.

ingredients :
2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup powdered blue butterfly pea(clitoria ternatea) & hibiscus(hibiscus sabdariffa) flowers
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar (+ additional for rolling)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (i used bourbon vanilla extract from Trader Joe"s)
1/4 teaspoon salt (kosher or himalayan work well)
instructions :
cream the butter & powdered sugar until light & fluffy, stir in vanilla until combined
in a separate bowl whisk sifted flour, cinnamon, salt & powdered herbs until well blended, add gradually to butter mixture
form dough into 1-1.25" balls & place onto parchment paper lined baking sheet
bake at 400 degrees F for 10-12min - until light golden brown, remove from oven allow to slightly cool, while cookies are still warm (not hot) roll in powdered sugar until evenly coated, cool cookies completely on wire rack and re-roll once completely cooled, makes about 30 herbal tea cookies
